The Q's Classroom System
Every classroom is a product of a "system" of learning, created by the teacher, who is the leader of that classroom. "Getting to the Fifth Q-Integrating Tools Within the Classroom" is all about creating a powerful classroom system of learning which enables students to act as true leaders of their own learning. Research supports that when students are active partners in the "classroom system", they have tremendous potential for success as high performing learners. The key is in understanding how to create that powerful "system" through the implementation and integration of quality tools throughout the day to day operations of a classroom.
When quality tools are used primarily as isolated strategies, their use is limited to a short-term impact. When integrated through the High Performance Model, they effect long-term change to create a "system" of powerful classroom processes.
This session provides hands-on learning around a core set of tools and strategies to help teachers enable students to become leaders of their own learning. The tools and strategies are found in the four "Q’s": (Q1) Quality Procedures, (Q2) Quality Character, (Q3) Quality Community, and (Q4) Quality Content. It is the integration or "bridging" of these four "Q’s" that leads to the fifth "Q": Quality Leaders of Great Learning.

- To develop a working knowledge & understanding of how quality tools, when internalized within the school/classroom setting, can lead to more responsible students and successful learners.
- To explore, in-depth, the system created by deeply infusing two tools from each Q into the classroom structure.
- To learn how additional tools and strategies within each Q can raise your classroom learning culture to an even higher level with students as part owners in classroom processes.
