Strategic Planning (District Level with Active Community Involvement)

The Partnership can help you develop a plan "from scratch" or adapt your current plan into a powerful vehicle to assist you on your journey to excellence. A key to developing a strong plan is in knowing your customers and involving them directly in the initial stages of strategic plan development. Being truly involved from the beginning sets the stage for strong employee and customer buy-in for your plan. Buying-in means focusing day-to-day on its implementation.
This process, developed and provided by The Partnership, includes crucial community involvement through training a district cross-functional team on the High Performance Model and the facilitation, coaching, and development of a district strategic plan. At the conclusion of our 5 days together, the district will have a broad set of vital priorities, goals aligned to these priorities and metrics identified to measure success.
Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the High Performance Model and its implications during and after the completion of the strategic plan
• Recognize the importance and utilization of broad customer input in determining the aims or priorities of the education district
• Understand the importance of the alignment of goals and measures to the aims or priorities of the education district
• Learn about and establish the core values of a high performing organization
Audience: District Leadership Team (cross-functional) with a minimum of 30 and maximum of 60 participants.
Length: 5 days over a four month period (6 hours per day) 1st month meet 2 consecutive days, 2nd month no meeting, 3rd month meet 2 consecutive days, 4th month meet 1 day

Strategic Planning (School Level with Staff and Parental Involvement)
Do you want to involve your school-level planning team, along with key parents, in understanding the High Performance Model, so they can help drive the everyday focus on success strategies for accomplishing the plan?
This process, provided by The Partnership for developing school level planning aligned to the district strategic goals, involves working with a school team. The Partnership will facilitate two sessions a day with up to four schools represented in each session for a total of eight school teams per day. The school teams meet for three 3-hour sessions over a three to four month period of time. The final and fourth session is a 40 minute individual session with each school team’s principal.
Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the High Performance Model and its implications during and after the completion of the school improvement plan
•Identify school level customers and use their input in determining the aims/priorities and goals of the school
•Understand the alignment of the school aims/priorities and goals to the district aims/priorities and goal
•Complete a school improvement plan, during the work sessions, with tools shared for gaining input from others
Audience: Four School Teams with a minimum of 20 participants and a maximum of 24 per session for eight school teams per day. School Team consists of six members, which include the principal, parents, teachers and/or support staff members.
Length: AM Session: Four school teams meet 3 days over a three to four month period (3 hours per day) for 3 days and a 40 minute individual principal session for the fourth day) PM Session: same time frame

Strategic Planning (School Level with a Train-the-Trainer Focus)
Do you want to provide the facilitation skills and knowledge needed for principals to work with their school improvement teams at their individual campuses?
The Partnership can provide this training on developing school level planning aligned to the district strategic goals specifically for the principals. Session One: Work begins with two sessions a day for up to 15 principals per session. The principals are taught a process and provided with an accompanying PowerPoint to use at their site to facilitate work with their leadership team and school staff. Session Two: After the principals conclude their on-site work, The Partnership meets with each principal for a 45-minute session to finalize goals and measures aligned to the district plan. How many principals a district has and how many facilitators the district wants determines how many days this process will take. The Partnership can facilitate eight 45-minute individual conferences per day per facilitator. Session Three: After the plan is in effect at the school, The Partnership returns for one final individual session, with the principal, to determine what is working well and what strategies can be deployed for further success.
Learning Outcomes:
• Continued understanding of the High Performance Model
• Learning about a process tool to engage staff in the next step of school level strategic planning
• Understanding the writing of goals and determining measures.
Audience: Principals
Length: Three total sessions:
Session One: Principals with a maximum of 15 in the 3½ hour AM session and a maximum of 15 in a 3½ hour PM session.
Session Two: Principals in a 45 minute individual conference with a Partnership facilitator.
Session Three: Principals in a 45 minute individual conference with a Partnership facilitator.

Deployment & “Tweaking The Plan”
Your district strategic plan is in place, but you need deployment options and key strategies (action plans) for implementation. The Partnership will conduct a high-energy session around what is working and what needs to be improved so the plan continues to be the main focus of the district at every level with processes identified to produce results. We will conduct this session with Board of Education Members, District Staff, School Staff, Community members, Parents, or any combination of these groups.
Learning Outcomes:
• Review of the High Performance Model and its deployment implications
• Recognizing the importance of regular customer involvement in creating a common focus around the plan
• Communication of success drivers and areas of improvement needed
Audience: An identified team at the school level or the district level with no minimum and maximum of 40 participants.
Length: Three, four, or six-hour meeting
Cost: Member: $3,000 plus travel & lodging
Non-Member: $3,200 plus travel & lodging
Product Fee: $15.00 per participant – Covers handouts and supplies needed to conduct session.
